I just have the same problem as Rick , so I need to know if somebody have a solution for this problem. I use also a universal card reader for USB and since I move from hom edition to pro, this decive doen't work. I use this device dayly and need a solution

Did you upgrade to Pro? If so you might wanna just do a clean install.. or perhaps goto the manufacturers website & download drivers for it :P
