The dictionary in Outlook Express changed to French. I checked the spelling
tab in Options and it only has French. Does anyone know how to change it?
It was English to begin with. Thanks

A: "Outlook" is not a shorthand abbreviation for "Outlook Express"; it is a
very different program.

B: There is a newsgroup for "Outlook Express" related issues. It is under
the "Internet Explorer" tree when using the web for access to the "Microsoft
Communities".

C: Outlook Express does not have a dictionary; it hooks the proofing tools
of the MS Office, or (some of the) MS Works suites. Office 2007 made some
changes in the way proofing works, and MSOE, which is no longer being
developed, can no longer hook the English proofing tools of Office 2007.

As a consequence of the latter, you will need to find a way to install the
older Office proofing tools, or find a stand alone set of proofing tools.
Google on "vampire spell check" might lead you down the right path.

Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer, not Microsoft Office which
this newsgroup supports.

You'll get a more expert answer if you post in the correct newsgroup:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...s/default.mspx

Choose your version from there. Include your version of Outlook Express when
you post your question.
