Dictating in Microsoft Word with Vista Voice Recognition

I have had problems dictating with Vista Voice Recognition in MS Word.
Whenever I try to use the correct command (the command where the form pops up
to make a selection for the correct spelling of a word) the pop up form
flashes on the screen and disapears before I can make a sellection for the
correct spelling of the word. This also happens with the Spell-It command.
Both of these commands worked perfectly in the tutorial. Has anybody else had
this problem?
