I have been trying to share a dialup on my desktop -or- laptop PC with the
other one on a home network. Both PCs have
XP Pro installed. Every time I have tried to enable sharing and also save
the dialer setup for "all users on this pc" the dialer consistently fails.
In addition to failing after trying to save the dial setup for all users it
will no longer authenticate when it connects to Worldnet. After that point I
cannot get back onto Worldnet until I start from scratch and create a new
dialup connection and then NOT save it for all users.
According to all I have read this should work and let both my computers
actually share the connection from one.
Is there something I need to do to get this to actually work? Any idea why
Worldnet fails to authenticate me after I make the changes from the original
dialer I started from?
