When I add a dialup connection the connect with defaults to COM1 and I
cannot change it.
My modem is installed on COM3 and is working and tests out ok with the "test
modem".
How do I add a dial up connection that uses the modem?

Ok went through a bunch of reinstalling and reconfiguring to no avail.
Found another modem external that connects to COM1 it installs fine and
queries ok but when I add a dial up connection it says modem unavilable COM1
under "connect using"
Spent 1-1/2 on the phine with microsoft support and the only thing I got was
to try and update my bios.
Any ideas out there?
