Hi
When I choose to open a file in Word 97, the dialogue box that used to be a
small, manageable size, now comes up, inexplicably, full screen. I am aware
of having clicked or double-clicked during one opening, which presumably
accounts for what's happened, but I can't see any way to undo it. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Can you grab an edge or corner of the box and drag it to a normal
size, and then it'll stay that way?

Does it keep doing it after you've closed and reopened Word?

Hi
I can't grab and drag it at all. And it is still the same after closing and
reopening Word (in fact, after a full restart) and also, bizarrely, I can't
navigate back to an open Word document I'm already working in, while this
full screen box is open - I have to close that document.

Double-click the title bar to restore it. You can then resize it as desired
by dragging on the lower right corner.

Double click its title bar to change the view from full screen to windowed
then you should be able to resize it.

if you can not double click, you can go to taskbar.
and right click at word 2007 and choice restore
so it will become small size and you can setup again
