Has anyone seen the "Dialer:dialer.asl" appear in a defender scan?
What is this and can it be removed with defender?

No. Try scanning your system with a-squared free. If a-squared also detects
it as a dialer, then get rid of it. It usually helps when you find malware
to indicate in your post the location (folder/subfolder).
