Dial up networking

This is a new pc (asus L3500H notebook) with windows XP
Profesional installed.
When I try to make a new connection with Dial Up
Networking it tells me dial up networking is not install
and to go to control panel and add/remove programs. Dial
up networking isn't there. can you help?
