I'm finally got my 3 computer network up and running
using ICS with a 56K modem in one of the machines. All 3
computers are connected using a D-Link DI-624 acting as a
simple hub and they can see each other on the network.
When either of the 2 other computers wants to access the
Internet the modem dials and connects just fine. My
problem is that the dial-up connection does not always
disconnect after the time out period is up. Sometimes it
disconnects. The dial-up connection property "Redial if
line is dropped" check box is unchecked. "Idle time
before hanging up" is set to 5 minutes.
The computer with the modem is running XP Pro with SP1,
the other computers are running W98 and ME.
Any ideas how to ensure the dial-up connection
disconnects after the time out?
