dial-up and adsl conflict

Before i loaded sp4 on my w2k i checked the dial up
connection which ran fine. Since then i have added ADSL
and now i cant use my dial up. I checked with ozemail
about the connection but they finely confirmed after 35
mins that it was a dialling adapter problem. It auto
configures for the PPP this address > 169.254.0.12 which i
checked with ipconfig but it wont let me release or renew
it. I found this address in the registry also but i'm
loathe to touch it without confirmation. Any suggestions?
