Hi,

Not really a problem just curios but on one of my pages I am using the DHTML
Wave effect when the page loads.

When it loads under Windows 2000/XP it is quite fast but under Windows 98se
it is really slow. Is this just related to better code in later Windows?

The difference happens on the same machine so it is not hardware related.

Des.

Yes it is - anything that moves with DHTML is always going to be faster on
2k/xp. I have a scroller behavior for FP2003 that exhibits the same
behavior, slower on win98, I get around it by detecting the OS and changing
speed accordingly - thats really the only way you can work around it.
