I have a linksys befsxr41 router acting as a DHCP server for my home network
which consists of several WIinXP computers as well as several other devices
( tivo,print server, vonage)

My question is why on DHCP client table do I get the IP numbers for some of
my XP computers , but I do not gert the name of the computer listed as well?
while others have both

All help appreciated

Check whether these XPs have NetBIOS over TCP/IP enabled.
