DHCP leases on reconsile

The problem is the server shows the DHCP scope as being full. If you look in
the lease pool it only shows the 4 or 5 leases that should be there. However
when you reconsile the scope the problem shows up. These odd leases are
pretty ovious. I'm pretty sure its not a bad NIC or Device because the Unique
ID is too long to be a MAC address. The only think i have been able to come
up with is the DHCP client database may be croupted. If you remove the leases
they will just come back after you reconsile the scope in a month or so.

I Think the problem lies in the registry, when you reconsile the server it
looks at the regisrty and pulls thorugh these random leases, the problem is i
can't find where in the registry these leases are detailed.

Any Ideas? Thanks

Oddly enough I am having the same issue. Do you have any Vista Business
clients on the domain?

This issue has something to do with vista clients and the new dhcpv6.0 and
NAP that is utilized by vista clients to interact with the 2000 server dhcp.
Something triggers the server dhcp to lease all the available addresses. I am
trying to figure out what in the vista client would cause this.
