DHCP/DNS problems

I recently had to go in and manually reenter my IP
address. Now when I try to repair the connection, it
says.."Failure refreshing all DHCP leases and re-
registering DNS names." I am connected to one other
computer that is connecting just fine. I have gone into
the command prompt and tried to ping and all i get
is "unable to initialize windows socket interface error
code 0." I hope someone out there understands all of
this and can help me. My computer is worthless otherwise.

Hi,

Your TCP/IP stack may be corrupted. Try the steps in the following KB
article:

299357 How to Reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=299357

Hello,

I am having DHCP/DNS problems exactly like what is
described below, and have also Reset (TCP/IP) as
suggested. Resetting (TCP/IP) did not resolve the
problem. Any other suggestions would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you
