Recently installed XP on a new (clean) machine. After
installation everything appeared to work fine. After
about a month my A: drive is seen, drivers and hardware
resource pages indicate that everything is fine but when
I try to access the A: drive I get a message box that
reads "A:\ is not accessible Incorrect Function" - any
ideas as to why?

Also, the CD player worked fine initially but now if I
try to read a CD it shows a blank screen. However, if I
have a CD in the drive when I boot I can see the files
and execute normally. If I remove the CD and try another
the screen shows no files, or CD name.

CD - Lite-On LTR 16102B and Standard "generic" 3.5 disk.
Motherboard - Shuttle AV41P
XP w/ SP1
