I have (had) an intermittent problem whereby XP crashes with a corrupt
registry problem. I read it could be a device driver which needs
upgrading. However if I try start Device Manager to see lwhat drivers
are installed this causes the crash straight away. Has anybody
experienced this before or know how to circumvent device manager?

Thanks _ I'll do that. Just saw this branch had drivers and I'm sure
it's something to do with a corrupt one
