Device error code 28

After having uninstalling Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum I was
unable to use my internal DVD-ROM because of an error code
19 ( Your registry may be corrupted). This was fixed with
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 27008. But now I have a
problem with my External HP CD Writer Plus 8200 Series. It
is acknowledged in my system as a "USB Device" and has A
yellow exclamation point. It used to show "CD Writer". I
get the following when I use Device Manager, " The drivers
for this device are not installed (Code 28)". Anyone out
there who can tell this novice+ what to do to correct this
problem? And oh ya, I did try to reload the drivers.

Thanks,
Sean
