Phil,

I did a google search and found that a program called ACDSee Auto Device
Detector detects when a device is connected to your PC and gives you the
option to acquire images from it automatically. Do you have this software
installed? Perhaps installed when loading some software that came with a
camera you're using? If you do have something along these lines, it would
seem logical that it's causing a problem of some sort, but I have no way of
know what it is. Perhaps it's having some conflict with a Vista component.
Does any of this make any sense to you? If it does, try uninstalling it to
see whether that act takes care of the problem. It's likely that you don't
need it anyway.

HHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPP
I don't have any ACD products iin my system. I went through the registry
and deleted an entry I found there and rebooted. I still can't get this
bloody POG to recognize my USB drives. I tried turning off my computer and
unpluging and reinserting the the USB plug with no effect. I can't get a
microsoft tech either by Email or Chat. When I try to chat it tells me I
have a technical problem. I can't try a time that isn't as busy because
they're closed. they won't let me Email them. With this level of Tech
NONSUPPORT. Perhaps I need to try more official channels to get support?
USB plug and play HAH... MORE LIKE PLUG AND PRAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Note: I am aware of the convention that printing in all caps is considered
screaming. All capitalization is intentional.
