Hi,

I have 4 USB 2.0 ports(and a extrnal USB hub) in my comparitively new
Toshiba laptop running under winXP SP2. I have USB 2.0 extrenal hard disk
which was running fine(in good speed) until last week, when I installed
drivers for my new webcam(Advent ADE-1300K). The new driver screwed the
entire system even though the webcam is advertised as USB 2.0, it converted
all my USB ports to 1.0 or 1.1 and now all my devices are very slow. I did
not change the mother board setting or any other setting, only installed the
drivers after which I am getting the message "This device can perform faster
if it is connected to a USB 2.0 port. Click here for available USB2.0 port",
and if click on the baloon message nothing happens.
I tried removing the driver for the webcam, removing the USB drivers,
windows update but still my external hardidisk is very slow, i tried this is
all the available ports(4 + 6 ports on the external hub)... any way to
convert the ports back to USB 2.0 ?

Thanks in advance

You can check Toshiba's web site to see if there are USB drivers available
for download for your laptop model. If so delete existing USB drivers and
install the Toshiba drivers.
