Boot Camp does require XPSP2.
You may also like to look at Parralles (
http://www.parallels.com) this
allows you to run any version of Windows (3.1, 3.11, 95, 98, Me, 2000,
NT, XP, 2003), any Linux distribution, FreeBSD, Solaris, OS/2,
eComStation, or MS-DOS at the same time as OSX. It works by creating
virtual machines, even the virtual ethernet cards work.
