I have windows 2000 pro and I need to find out what kind
(if any) of service pack is installed. Is this the
Version # that follows windows 2000 in the winver dialogue
box?

Also, if you got rid of your "My Computer" icon, at
a "cmd" prompt, type:
winver
It'll tell you all you need.

>On your desktop, use the conxtual menu of the icon named
>(my computer), select properties.
>You will see all the information you need.
>Something like:
> Microsoft Windows 2000
> 5.00.2195
> Service Pack 3
