download QFECHECK from the MS website.

This will report on any fix that leaves a trail in the registry
key HKLM/software/microsoft/updates/windowsxp.
This tool checks the file level, and reports on anything
missing or regressed.
This is most of them, but there are other sub keys such as
"dataAccess" and "windows media player" which are not reported
by the above tool
