Hi,

I recently built 5 new computers running Vista, 3 Home Premium and 2
Ultimate. I failed to keep track of which product key went to which
computer.

Now on one of the computers the hard disk has become corrupted to the point
where the simplest thing to do seems to be reformat and reinstall. There was
nothing on this computer yet but the OS. However I don't know which product
key to use.

Is there anyway to determine which of the 5 keys I have I used or should
use?

Try Belarc Advisor, a free download.
This will show you the product key on each of the computers that work.

Hi,

There are a large number of utilities on the web that will recover product
keys from a running version of Vista. Use one to determine what keys are in
use on the remaining machines and compare these against the licenses you own
to determine which one was used on this machine.
