I'm getting the New Hardware Wizard detecting CD device
(NEC CD_RW NR_9100A) at every restart.
Wizard then spurts out error message and "I/O operation
has been aborted ..thread exit or application request"
Tried unistalling the driver - no luck.

Would be very grateful for any advice
Cheers

Go to device manager and expand the primary or secondary
ide channel depending were your cd rom is connected.
Click on advanced and there will be a drop down menu.
Select DMA or PIO. Accept and re-boot. I had the same
problem but now it works. It depends on the mother board
you are using
