I am running windows XP with my desktop and have recently added an external hard drive via usb (MD ELEMENTS 1 Terrabyte).

I copied over the avi files etc that I wanted to put across, but now, when I try and copy a folder to a folder on this external drive, I get the error:

The Destination does not support long file names. Please enter a filename for this file.

Anyone have any ideas pls????? There are already files on there with longer names.....?
