I desperately need the file AUTHZAX.DLL , which seems to be bundled with
office 2007. Its CLSID is {C9712B19-838B-45A5-ABF2-9A315DDDED50} , i.e. it
is registered in the registry under the following key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{C9712B19-838B-45A5-ABF2-9A315DDDED50}.

The file is located in the folder where you've installed office 2007 or in
one of its subfolders. If I am not mistaken, its version number is
11.0.6255.

Please be so kind and send it either to the newsgroup or to my email address
(E-Mail Removed)

Without it I cannot access either office.microsoft.com , nor
officebeta.iponet.net , because these pages activate specific activex
objects to check which office version is installed on the client's computer,
and because MS cannot write proper code, my IE browser gets stuck in a loop,
trying to activate an object that doesn't exist. I have to register the
above mentioned library on my computer, otherwise I cannot access the office
sites.

I already got the office 2003 Authorization Control and the Office Online
Beta Control:

http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...uthInstall.msi

All I am missing now is the Microsoft Office 12 Authorization Control with
the above mentioned CLSID.

Have you considered posting in an MS Office newsgroup?

I have, but there is no office.general group, just groups concerned with
individual office components like word or excel, while my problem is of more
general nature, so I didn't know where else to post

Look again. The following groups are a lot closer to your
problem than the very, very general Windows XP newsgroup!

microsoft.public.office.misc
microsoft.public.office.setup
