According to my daughter's description of what happened, it looks like she
clicked a link that installed a virus on the PC (the "take a survey" window
started duplicating itself non-stop, until Norton shut the PC down).
Since the PC was running a little weird before this, I think I'll just go
ahead and wipe the drive, and install XP from scratch.
I have complete backups from a month or so ago.
