Start by looking in the "Device Manager" under network adapters.
You get to the device manager several ways. One way is:
Right-mouse click on "computer" and choose 'manage' from the options.
Then on the left side bar choose 'device manager'
click on the + sign to expand the information.
If you have a wireless network card it will be listed there.

It is common for newer laptops to have a wireless network adapter.
It is not common for desktops to have a wireless network adapter, but one can be purchased and installed for less than $40 USD.

You can also go to Ebay...get a USB adapter, and pay less than $20USD. The
adapter will come with a CD with the drivers that you need...then all you
have to do is insert in your USB port! That's what I'm using "right now".
and have been "wireless" for about 2 years now.
