The new Desktop Window Manager error keeps popping up telling me that there's
an error and it needs to shut down. If that's true, then why does it keep
shutting down if it's already down?

Any way of shutting this new display rendering method and use the old method
for now?

Thanks.
Ben

Yes, to turn off Aero:
Right-click the desktop, click Personalization, click Window Color and
Appearance, click "Open classic appearance properties for more color
options" and select Windows Vista Basic color scheme. This will turn off the
Glass effect and the small preview windows that appear when you hover over
open apps in the taskbar. (you can turn it back on here as well).

As to why you're having the problems in the first place, that's more
difficult to determine: are the problems associated with a recent program
download or hardware installation? Ensure programs are compatible/drivers
are recent. Hope this helps.

Thank you Andy.

I followed your procedure and it works (no pops yet) and all of my drivers
are up to date too, btw.

If you get a moment, I posted another problem right below this one titled,
"Jerky Mouse & Sound Issues", if you or one of your collegues might know what
I can do to solve the intermittent mouse movement/sound duplicating/video
fluttering problems I have. I think it's one thing that's affecting it all,
but I can't seem to figure it out.

Thanks!

Ben
