Desktop wallpaper not loading

's Computer Specifications

I have a dell inspiron 8100 laptop and suddenly my desktop
wallpaper will no longer load. None of them. I have
tried centering, stretching, and tiling of several
different backgrounds, no help. I cannot find any
articles in the knowledge base that address this. Please
help!!!! Thanks
