Desktop Wallpaper Customization

Hi All,

We have situations where 2 or more client machines are using the same
monitor through some Belkin switches. What we'd like to do, if possible, is
display machine information on the desktop wallpaper of each system so that
any user can instantly tell which machine is 'active'. For example, when I
look at the properties of My Computer, I can see the computer name, OS, etc,
which is the same type of information we'd like displayed. Easy enough if
we create wallpaper specific to each machine, but we'd like it to be
dynamic. If we change the OS, the wallpaper changes.

I'm thinking that Active Desktop tied into an HTML file might work, but am
unsure as to where to start looking. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks & Ciao,

Tony

Kelly,

Thanks a million. This works well for what we were looking for. I'll have
to peruse the balance of your site to see what else I can use.

Thanks again & Ciao,

Tony

Hey Rich,

Don't know if you're still following this thread, but thanks for the tip. I
showed what the app can do to my boss and he liked it quite a bit. It may
even save us some money; we're looking at an inventory audit tool and this
may be able to supplant it for free.

Thanks again,

Tony
