hiya

i built my pc about a year ago now and thinking about some upgrade - 2 things on my mind:
better ram
add a hard drive silencer

for the ram, my motherboard can take ddr3 but I've read mixed reviews on this. .. basically what are my best options with and without overclocking? max £150

for the silencer, scan has this:

does anyone has an experience with this type of item? is it worth the £

here's the spec:
Gigabyte P35C-DS3R
Core 2 Duo E6750
GeForce 8800 GTS (640 MB)
geil 2x1gb pc6400 c4
(running windows xp home)
it's supposed to run any game reasonably smoothly on a 20' screen

if you have further suggestions for upgrades bring it on

I wouldn't put my hard drive in a box with no fans , just my opinion .

Not even any ventilation holes. That aint good, just asking for trouble!
