The toolbar on my desktop is double height. If I drag it down it disappears completely. If I unclick Quicklaunch, it also disappears. I want it single height and I want Quicklaunch. There are not tons of icons in it. What's up?

You have your bars on two rows. Put them on 1 row.

Right-click on an empty section of the taskbar and make
sure that there is no checkmark beside "Lock the
Taskbar". You should now see little vertical bars around
the quicklaunch. Hold down the left mouse button
and "drag" the quicklaunch to the same row as the start
button. The taskbar should contract to one row. You can
also drag the quicklaunch left and right as you please.
Once you like the way the taskbar looks, right click
again, and select "Lock the Taskbar". This will prevent
you from moving things around by mistake.

Hope this helps,

Nick
