Desktop shuffle recovery

Does anyone know of some freeware to recover from icon displacement.
Everytime I change resolutions, my desktop icons get shifted. For Win98 and
XP I've been using "Save My Desktop!" which seems to work fine, except for
when I really need it, like after I boot to safe mode in Win98, or I do a
resolution change in XP. I don't do this often and it mostly happens as a
result of something else I'm doing, but when the icons get all messed up
placement wise, trying to recover with the mentioned program gets me
seemingly random results. Simply put, it doesn't work for me.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Iconrestore works for me, but I don't know if it works in XP.

It's very small, restores icon placement - that's all
