If I take an existing Windows XP Pro SP2 workstation that is not in Active
Directory, and join it to an Active Directory domain, the application
shortcuts on the desktop no longer work. Prior to adding the machine to AD I
cut all the desktop icons from the Administrator's desktop folder and paste
them into the All Users desktop folder in Documents and Settings so all
userprofiles will have these icons on their desktop. Being an AD newbie, I'm
assuming this is a permissions issue. What am I missing here?
