I have about 16 shortcuts on desktop, 4 or 5 in each corner. All except
Excel and Word stay put but these move themselves to left center when
computer is rebooted and ocassionally at other unknown time.
Trivial but annoying when I go to click and not where expected.
Thoughts on how to glue them in place?
A much earlier suggestion was to allign to grid which I now have set but no
help.

My XPS630i-XP Pro has recently developed the same problem.
Icons all move to the left of the screen; in addition, my Quick Launch
toolbar disappears and must be restored manually each time I start the
machine.
Align to grid is no help.
Any idea how to fix this problem?
