OS: Windows 2000 Pro w/ all service packs and latest fixes.

Problem: Desktop shortcuts to frequently-visited sites all of the sudden
don't "complete" in IE6. When I click on one, IE6 opens, but screen and
address bar are blank, nothing happens, no error message of any kind.
BUT!!!--- IE6 is not frozen---I can choose another address form the
drop-down menu, or insert a new address in address bar, and it work
flawlessly.

ALSO, hyperlinks in e-mails no longer open up IE6. Clicking on a hyperlink
in an e-mail does absolutely nothing.

HELP!!!

Thanks in advance for any help or assistance. I CAN'T find any info on this
in the Knowledge base or in these newsgroups!!!

Try this, it should help you. I had the same issue and
it's fine now.
Run the following commands from start/run.
Run each line individually.
After each run, you should see a short message stating
the command was successful.

The first command is the one most likely to work.

regsvr32 Urlmon.dll
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll (only applicable to Windows ME,
Windows 2000 and XP)
regsvr32 shdoc401.dll (only applicable to Windows 95,
Windows 98)

regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll

Reboot Computer and test.
