I have 50 regular users and 150 managers (different people every year) during
our peak production time. My users have told me that a few years ago they
had a database administrator who sent them an email and when they clicked on
the link they automatically had a desktop icon for the Access Database for
their area. I have no idea what the link was or what was in it so any
information that would help my users I would appreciate.

My guess is that its a WSH script (Windows Script Host). WSH has a method
that creates a shortcut.

If I'm nice, I might post a script that I wrote that automatically
distributes new front end versions to a person's local drive as the front end
on the server is updated thus ensuring that the users ALWAYS have the most up
to date. It even copies it to the local drive if it doesn't exist.
