Would like to know how to save/lock the icons positions on the Desktop
because every time I arrange them, they are rearranged automatically and
randomly.

Right click on your Desktop, select 'Arrange Icons By', and uncheck 'Auto
Arrange', check 'Align to Grid'.

The "Auto Arrange" is unchecked and the "Align to Grid" is checked. The
things is that if I arrange them as i want them to be now, tomorrow will be
re arranged automatically and I have noticed that this is happening at same
time every day!!

Hi,

Does this happen after a refresh of the desktop? What else is going on at
that same time each day? In the meantime, use save settings on exit (line
54 -right hand side) and also see Lock Desktop Items:

Do you have any "Scheduled Tasks" that run at this time each day?

The date and time was 2/25/2008 10:02 AM, and on a whim, Jalal pounded
out on the keyboard:

Hi Jalal,

Do you have (Arrange icons by) Name, Size, Type, or Modified checked?

Hi Kelly,

No, this is not happening after refresh of the Desktop.

Nothing other than re-arrangement of the icons on the Desktop at the same
time every day.

What I can see is (Lock Web Items on the Desktop) and it is checked.

This started to happen only after installing Office 2007, is there is any
link?
