Desktop Refresh/repaint speed is slow

When I first turn on the computer, it's fine but after being on for
several hours, the refresh speed of the desktop is slow. i.e., when I
move a active box on the screen, it takes seconds to fill in the area
behind it. It's very annoying. If I reboot, the problem goes away.

I've got two video cards. One is internal to the motherboard and is a
SiS Real 256E Graphics and I have a AGP GeForce 2 MX400. I've tried each
and both video cards will exhibit this same issue. The latest drivers
are loaded and I uninstalled, reinstalled them once. OS is Windows XP
Home.

Any suggestions for helping resolve this problem is appreciated.

Thank You,

Ben
