After entering my windows ID and password and enter my
desktop screen. The desktop screen recycles ever 3
seconds and does not allow me to execute any
applications. The only transaction I can used is the
Task manager where in notice the explorer.exe application
is continously cycling. Also, if I try to run any new
aplications from the Task Manager (i.e. File/Run New
task) nothing will lauch. Any ideas on how to solve this
problem?

ok,
This MAY help
Boot into safe mode, run scandisk to fix all problems in
advanced settings
Reboot again in safe mode and run derfag in the "allow
programmes to run faster" mode
Get hold of "regcleaner" or a similiar prgramme to fix any
registry probs
Let it fix them on its own
Reboot gain
And you should be ok now
