Ever since half a year ago when I changed my Desktop image to a Photograph,
I've had some issues with my background.
When I changed the to the Photograph originally, it completely slowed down
my computer, and consumed a high CPU.
Then when I shut down the computer, the image woud take a couple of minutes
to dissapear, and when I booted up, and logged in, the computer would freeze
on the image. Sometimes the taskbar would load, but I couldn't use the
computer. Instead I had to restart, then log into the other account (which I
never use), boot up, log out, to log into my account. It then took a week
after I changed the image to one of the Windows' own choice of backgrounds,
for everything to work alright again.
The whole thing has been a bit slow since then, and I still can't change my
background, even if it's an image only 200kb or something.
I have Virus Scanned, and I think when it originally happened I used Norton
GoBack to restore to the time before the whole thing.
It just seems very wrong, and annoying.
Any help, would be greatly appreciated.
Samie.
