This is my first attempt to make some use of this forum. With respect to
desktop icons, I have only read posts concernig the size of the icon being a
problem. I was very surprised nobody mentioned a problem similar to mt own,
which is that when I personalize an icon (By right-clicking over it and then
click "properties" and then "change icon" and then select from dozens of
choices.) What happens is that over time, a number of these personalized
icons "morph" into a generic-looking icon that is very plain, has no color
(well, it's white.) I don't know if perhaps I have some kind of virus- well,
basically, I don't have a clue whats going on or what the remedy is.

My name is Alexis. I am a "tech newbie." I am often befuddled with various
aspects of the new Widows Vista OS (and, have considered "downgrading" to XP
on this new PC.) Thanks for your help!
