I have an ongoing problem with my desktop icon changing to IE defaults when
I perfom certain actions such as closing a window or emptying the recycle
bin. Also I feel startups are slower lately.
I know this sounds like a spyware problem and I have used several utilities
including ad-aware, spyware doc and microsoft anti-spy. They sometimes find
things but the problem still exists.
Could the be things this software cannot find and if so how do I get rid of
it?
Also, could there be another cause altogether?
