Hi,

I am setting up a new system with Windows XP Pro and installed sp3.
Typically I would next go to the desktop properties, select the Desktop tab
and Customize and check off the check box by Internet Explorer, to display
on the desktop. But now it's gone! What happened to the show IE on the
desktop option?

I know I can simply create a shortcut on the desktop but that's not the
same, I liked the other method better. Did they move it or take it away
completely with sp3?

Thanks in advance,
Linn

Hi Linn,

See line 408: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

There is also one there that corrects IE7 when it gets stuck on Runonce.
