Desktop flashes

      15th Jul 2003
?? After logging in, the desktop begins flashing at about
1 second intervals. The mouse stays on the screen and
moves around OK. If you click on the start button, the
menu just begins to pop up when the icons all go out
again... PC starts OK in safe mode... ???

Thanks Ray,,,, The pc isn't on a network.. Its been
awhile since installing anything, but I'll try
uninstalling the latest..

Not uninstalling - reinstalling. If your machine's on a network, the SP may
have been slipstreamed onto your computer without your knowing it.
