System Restore, as its name says, will only restore system files.
It will not restore user files. Your best bet is to restore the files
from your backup medium.
If this is not an option then you could use one of the many
third-party undelete programs. If the files are important then
you must install your hard disk as a slave disk in some other
WinXP PC and install/run the undelete program on that
machine. Any activity on your current machine will reduce
your chances of retrieving your files.
