Went brain dead...I wanted to create a shortcut to
desktop explorer and draged and droped explorer.exe on
the desktop instead of creating an explorer shortcut. How
do I remove the program icon. Popup says "Cannot delete
explorer: Access denied.

I think this will work. Go to documents and settings/choose your computer
name. Click on desktop. Find the explorer program icon. Move it to the
Windows directory where it belongs. Make sure you move it, not copy it.

open your windows\system32 folder and then reduce it in
size so that you can see the desktop and explorer.exe. Now
simply drag and drop explorer.exe to the system32 folder
where it belongs. Keep smiling.

FYI...Documents and Settings > Desktop > Cut
{explorer.exe} > Windows > Paste = explorer.exe move and
icon off of Desktop!!!
