Try again, if you still need help.
It sounds like you had a corrupted user profile, and whoever "fixed" your
computer
(A) renamed your old profile, (the now misspelled one), then, (B) created a
new user in your (correct) name.
Please number your answers as to these question numbers;
1) What are you seeing "doubled"?
2) By "favorites", do you mean desktop shortcut icons, or "Favorites" as in
(usually) used in Internet Explorer (but can also be used in Windows
Explorer)?
3) What File(s) or Folder(s) did you move, and HOW?
Example answer: "3) I openned the misspelled user's Folder, used "Edit" and
"Select All", and dragged them to the properly-spelled user Folder. I
answered "No" (or Yes, or No to All, or Yes to All) at the "Prompt" about
replacing existing files/folders with the ones I was moving."
Or, you can rename this account using the User Accounts applet in Control
Panel,
then create another account in your name. Reboot.
Now COPY only the files you "have to have" into the new user's folders.
Don't MOVE them. Don't just copy everything.
You can copy your "Contacts" folder into your new "My Documents" folder,
whole, if you like. (Or copy it to "C:", or to your new <Your-Username-Here>
folder.)
You'll possibly have to reinstall some programs, but maybe not, if you use
the same name as when they were first installed.
Try the new User for a week or so. Then Delete the other User(s), and use
the option for deleting all associated files. ("They" apparently saved them
the first time.)
-Good Luck-
