I have Asus A8N-SLi Premium Motherboard which has two Ethernet cards. What I
want is to use one out put for my PC and one to go to Linksys WRT54G .When
I'm downloading a bit torrent from the PC the Linksys WRT54G lags while
playing on line games. I thought this would solve the problem? Is this
possible ? Thanks

Are you talking about routing? this is a similar case.

Routing One router goes to the corporation email server and another one goes to the Internet Route command and examples Routing issue if the LAN and VPN are in ...

The problem is most likey a bandwidth issue that will not be resolved by an
additional nic. The problem you are facing is probably that most of your
upload bandwidth is being used by the bit torrent client. The game requires
2 way communication so if your upload is crippled the game would lag. This
is common on cable or dsl connections because the upload speed is usually
capped at a much much lower rate than the download.

So having two nic cards doesn't help.So to solve this problem would require
another modem to go with the other nic card. What if you could combine the two
cards together to make the flow of information better (?). Whats the purpose
of a mother board having two Ethernet cards if you can only use one ?

The problem isnt whether you have the ability to use more than one nic
because you can. the problem is the cable or dsl modem speed is capped by
your provider. in short there is nothing you will be able to do other than
getting an additional line and modem installed to stop your game from
lagging while you also use bit torrent on the same computer or network.
